About our club

WCB is a North Jersey based bass fishing club out of Hackettstown. We are a non-affiliated club so we focus more on the fun found in a little friendly competition, than those clubs working towards sending teams to state and regional competitions. We fish 8-10 tournaments a year in local lakes found in Morris, Sussex and Warren counties. Most of the lakes we fish allow unlimited HP, but this season we will also be fishing Spruce Run and Mountain Lake. All our tournaments are Buddy format. You, your boat and your partner, and are reserved for club members of Warren County Bass only. 90% of tournaments are held on Sundays between 6am and 2pm. Members are required to follow all state and local rules and regulations.

Budd Lake
     


With the club president vacationing at Camp David (a.k.a. Oneida Lake), nine dedicated teams arrived at Budd Lake for WCB's third tournament of the season. The lake provided less than ideal conditions with a muddy water level 18" below normal, but six teams still managed to pull out a five fish limit. Congratulations to a new combo, Hawk & Grant, for taking first place with just under 11 pounds and lunker with a nice 3+ pounder. Team G & M finished in second while Team Tucker's limit, all caught by the boater, landed them in third (luckily for the non-boater... me).
